PALS (New Certification) / ACLS (Renewal Certification)

This is a combination course designed to offer healthcare providers the opportunity to achieve two or more certifications and save with bundled pricing for attaining multiple certifications simultaneously.

This course is also designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.

The PALS course is designed to provide pediatric healthcare providers with the knowledge and skill necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children and help improve outcomes. The goal of the PALS Provider course is to teach students how to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, to provide students with strategies for preventing cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children, and to teach students how to perform the cognitive and psychomotor skills resuscitating and stabilizing infants and children in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest. Skills in bag-mask ventilation, management of airway, defibrillation, and cardioversion, use of AEDs for children, and rhythm management are emphasized. PALS emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival

AHA STUDENT MANUAL AND TEXTBOOK POLICY

Each student must have the current, appropriate course textbook of their own readily available for use before, during, and after the course.

Textbooks are designed for individual use and are an integral part of the student’s education. Students may reuse their textbooks during renewals or updates UNTIL NEW SCIENCE GUIDELINES ARE PUBLISHED. (i.e. 2020 AHA Update)

The American Heart Association (AHA) designs their resuscitation courses using the most current educational design concepts. In order to maximize the students’ learning potential and keep course length manageable, the AHA have designed the classroom courses with the intent that students will have the opportunity to study the course materials outside of the class itself. It is necessary that students have access to student manuals before, during, and after each course, especially if the students are less familiar with the skills.

RESCUE ELITE BOOK POLICY

NO BOOKS may be returned or refunded for any reason. Books may not be issued during the course and then returned for a refund; this includes if it has been unopened. Books may also not be shared during the course; this is against American Heart Association rules and guidelines. Per AHA Rules, each student must have their own current book in order to attend an AHA course.

* A MANUAL IS REQUIRED IN A COURSE OR YOU MAY NOT ENTER. *
