The Heartsaver First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid.

Is AHA Heartsaver First Aid the right course for me?

The AHA Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

Heartsaver First Aid is geared towards anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

This is the BLENDED LEARNING Heartsaver® First Aid Course Option

All Heartsaver First Aid course options teach the same AHA science-based skills and result in the same AHA Course Completion Card.

Blended Learning (online portion, followed by hands-on skills session)

Heartsaver First Aid Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid Blended Learning Course and teaches information needed for first aid training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor.

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

• Students have the convenience of completing the course at their own pace at work, home, or wherever Internet access is available
• Can be used for initial or renewal training
• Includes interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference
• Certificate of completion available to print when the online portion has been completed successfully
• Students have access to all information in the online course for 24 months after activation of their key to help reinforce what they have learned
• Includes audio and transcript for any students who may have a hearing or visual disability
• Screen and text-sized options help meet diverse learning needs
• Navigation controls provide students with the flexibility to move easily through content and customize their personal learning experience

You will be emailed a HEARTSAVER Keycode for the online portion of the course.  Upon completion, print out the certificate and call our office at 877-277-2687 to schedule a skills session.

You must bring the printed completion certificate with you. Please call to schedule your skills session.

If you need to reschedule your course, you will be allowed to reschedule one time. Please email your request at least 24 hours before your initially scheduled course.
